Functions

The Newcastle Entertainment Centre hosts a variety of functions catering for up to 2,000 guests. The Centre can be themed to any style and our catering manager will tailor a menu to suit individual tastes and budget.

Each year the Centre hosts the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Ball and the graduation dinner for St Francis Xavier High School, Newcastle.

The Centre can also host conferences of various capacities by using curtaining to divide the room if required. Conferences held include the Australian Trucking Association Conference, Rotary International Conference and Network 21 Conferences.  

Additionally, the Newcastle Entertainment Centre is perfect for any Exhibition or Trade Show with fully retractable seating providing 4,100 square metres of clear span exhibition space.

 The Centre has previously hosted the following Exhibitions:

• Hunter Disability Expo
• Ausgrid Tradeshow
• Bunnings Tradeshow
• Newcastle Caravan, Camping and Lifestyle Expo

John Farnham Room

Located directly opposite the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, the John Farnham Room is a function space available for hire during events or at other times.  The Room can accommodate 100 patrons for a sit down meal or 120 people for a cocktail function.

The Room can also be hired for meetings with seating for up to 150 people in classroom style.
